One of the pillars of the curriculum taught in all programs across èƵapp University’s two campuses is the One Health Initiative. This interdisciplinary approach recognizes  èƵapp University fosters this core value by encouraging programs to collaborate and share their knowledge.

The One Health Initiative is especially important when it comes to caring for pediatric patients, since nearly every healthcare profession works with the pediatric population. Several special interest groups and clubs have been formed on the Glendale Campus for èƵapp to learn how to provide better care to children. Earlier this year, the èƵapp of Pharmacy, Glendale hosted the Inaugural Pediatric Professional Panel. Several expert èƵapp University faculty members spoke on the panel, discussing multidisciplinary ethics, how to assess a pediatric patient as a whole, and the importance of programs working together to provide the best possible care.

“This panel was a great way to build interdisciplinary relationships and knowledge across our diverse campus. We hope to make it an annual event!” said Yian Zhang (AZCOM ’25), President of the Interprofessional Pediatrics Interest Group.
